Passing on the Gift of Healing
Mr. Ogho Obakponovwe, a dedicated orthopaedic surgeon, teaches essential skin stitching techniques to the Nursing Staff at Ofor Hospital. This hands-on session, part of the Peter Claver Foundation’s outreach, aims to equip healthcare practitioners and nursing staff with basic yet vital medical skills.

Mr. Ogho Obakponovwe leads an engaging session on Airway management with a practical demonstration for staff members, who had the opportunity to improve their airway skills in a safe setting. Through this community-based initiative, the Peter Claver Foundation empowers everyday people with the confidence and skills to act in emergency situations—bridging the gap between accident and access to care.
The ABCDE of Trauma Care
Mr. Ogho Obakponovwe demonstrates the core principles of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) using a medical training model. He guides participants through the critical steps of the ABCDE approach—Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Disability, and Exposure—emphasizing a structured, systematic response to trauma. This hands-on session empowers attendees with foundational knowledge to assess and stabilize patients in emergency situations, reinforcing the importance of early intervention in saving lives.
